Everything else was closed. Thank goodness! Ended up at Mini Jalapeno and so glad! The food was amazing. Tea was cold and sweet. Beer was cold. I can’t say enough good things about this place.
I’d like to say I have high Mexican restaurant standards and Mini Jalapeno blew me away! Heck, our entire group. Walk in 8 table on a Thursday night around 8:30 - sat promptly. Service was excellent. The chips and salsa, excellent. Steak fajitas (with the jalapenos, of course) were...you guessed it, excellent! It was so good we got it for pickup 2 nights later. Great local spot and can’t recommend enough.
WOW! Celebrated my 23rd birthday at Holden Beach and stopped into the Mini Jalapeno for my Birthday Lunch and I was not dissapointed! My mom and I absolutely ADORED this restaurant! The atmosphere was cozy, the service was the best ever, our server made my birthday so special & I got the cutest bday song performance & desert! We loved the food, our meals were delicious! I cannot wait to come back! Wish there was a location in Wilmington but will gladly drive back down for Mini Jalapeno!

Best Mexican restaurant in all of the area!!! The flavor of the chicken and the beef was amazing! My children loved the rice said it was the best they have ever had. The strawberry and watermelon margaritas were excellent as well. Excellent service. The server had my children super excited because he was repeating what we ordered in Spanish and teaching them the key words. I would definitely recommend it if you want great Mexican food and great service!!!
You should go here if you want delicious Mexican food, and great service. It was delicious!! The servers would come around often, but not too often. They seemed happy to wait on us, and did so with a smile. This was my first time eating there, and I was impressed.
Six of us went here for lunch last Friday and it was absolutely delicious! The margaritas were wonderful, the food was amazing, and the atmosphere was great! The menu had so much to choose from! The portions were huge! 10/10 recommend!
